Brittany is currently going through our 8-Week Transformation and documenting her journey. The struggles and the triumphs. Here’s an excerpt from her first post…
Welcome to my blog! First, I’d like to give you a little background information on me. I am a mother of 2 beautiful children, 7 years old, and 9 months old. I grew up  and still currently live in New York. But most importantly, I’ve always had weight issues. Ever since I was little, I knew I wasn’t built like most girls. The other girls were be slim and beautiful, and I was lumpy and awkward. The good news is I was, and still am, incredibly active. From a young age I would always be outside with the boys playing sports, and going for hikes. As I got older, I became very active in basketball, lacrosse and horseback riding. When I went off to college, my health and body took a backseat to food and an unhealthy lifestyle. I remember thinking, “well, I’ll never look like the slimmer girls, and I’ll never wear the bikini, so why bother”…

This now brings me to my current journey. I was on facebook a few months before the holidays, and came across an ad for something called Training for Warriors, Mahopac. I read the article and checked out their website, very cautiously and unsure. What struck me the most was the word warrior. To me, that word is very close to my heart, so I decided to call to find out about the special program they were offering, and spoke with one of the owners, John. There was something about his energy and excitement that drew me in. The program sounded amazing, (and affordable) and I became excited. Hesitantly, I took the plunge and told John that I was in! I will never forget his response…
